John Estess was recognized this month by Thank You Small Business for his diligence in providing information to small business owners who needed, and still need help to navigate all the information related to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and other assistance programs. He has continually offered advice regarding financial assistance options to small business owners to help them keep their businesses viable. Read the publication here!

After working with his staff to ensure that Estess CPAs would continue providing critical services from the start of the coronavirus pandemic, he continued to monitor the daily developments. He helped small business owners navigate these uncertain times whether they are affected by the virus directly or through the financial markets’ volatility, answering every call. Through his email newsletters, monthly blogs, and social media campaigns, John provided small business owners with the information they needed to make informed decisions on what assistance package would best fit their company’s needs and helped them understand how each option would affect their bottom line, including tax liabilities ramifications

Estess CPAs provides small business owners bookkeeping and payroll services, accounting services, tax preparation services, business advice, QuickBooks training, and IRS representation. The firm has remained at the ready to help review and discuss types of assistance and loans available and guide small business owners through the application process. Under John’s leadership, the Estess CPAs team has remained committed throughout these turbulent times. He and his co-owner wife, Lori, understand the challenges of managing small, family-run businesses and are happy to lend our expertise and knowledge to help make the small business owners’ life more manageable.

“Many small businesses have suffered during this season of COVID-19. Although legislation at both the national and state levels has attempted to assist small businesses, many find the paperwork confusing. Over the past year, I have heard John answer many questions posed by business owners, and so many have praised his patience, empathy, and willingness to help. He provides timely advice offers to help anyone at any time, whether they were his clients or not.” –Becky Rolland, Corbec Media

While he relishes his role as an advocate, advisor, and partner to small business owners, John Estess also knew that he had to help his older clients since they were the most vulnerable to COVID-19. In March, Estess CPAs started offering a free tax document pick-up service for clients aged over 60 who live within a 10-mile radius of either location.

Personable, responsive, and empathetic to the small business owner’s plight, the Estess CPAs team wants to help people, regardless of whether the small business owner is one of their clients.

Thank you, John, for all you do to help small business owners succeed. You have helped so many of us by providing us with the information we need to make informed choices.
